Back to the Bu

The trip home was long. Had to detour from the Siskiyou Pass because of a last minute snow storm. So thanks to cell phones and my sister Lisa and daughter Sophie, I found myself heading toward the coast. The redwoods are gorgeous but the rain was not. Severe winter weather I think they call it. 

I drove for 8+ hours ending in the dark on the Redwood Highway with signs warning me of elk and Tsunamis. But I ended up in beautiful Trinidad Bay which I HIGHLY recommend to whomever is traveling above Eureka. A hidden gem. I stayed at a dog friendly motel called Trinidad Inn with a full kitchen and  extra towels for the dogs! Ended up with a wonderful supper of crabcakes and salad from Murphy's Market - about a mile away.

The next day brought us to the spectacular Avenue of the Giants where I just had to drive through a tree for $5.00.

And now I am back and getting settled so I can bring you more recipes. Wish I could have a vote from you all as to whether you would rather have Cinnamon Rolls or Golden Curried Tofu for the first recipe. Any opinion??
